The highlight of the day has been me playing travel agent again trying to book my journey for the 13th May. I need to go to a place called Ostrava which is in the Czech Republic and close to the Slovak border. I got a plus finding out the RyanAir are planning to start flying direct from Stanstead in June but for now it means I have to go to Prague and catch a bus to the station and then a train across the country. The hotel also sounds nice having pool and sauna available so I hope to take advantage of the facilities. Sounds like an exciting time ahead.
Today it has been a case of getting as much work into the day as possible and saying goodbye to my French colleague who has gone home for the weekend.
Once work was over and having done nothing last night I decided it would be nice to go out as soon as possible to see what is happening. Firstly the weather is superb at the moment, over twenty degrees as we travelled back from work. So my UK colleague and I walked across the river and into the square, the thing we noticed is that more people were out tonight and it seemed a much more vibrant city. I sound like a tourism journalist now. The shops were open much later also and that meant we could stare through the windows at the ridiculous prices there are trying to charge people. But seriously it was a nice walk in the warm evening, but alas it had to come to an end as there are emails to do and documents to write.
Tomorrow it will be an early start as my UK colleague has to be given a lift to Brussels Train Station and has to be there for the 10:00 a.m. train so we will need to leave here at 7:30 a.m. After I drop him off I have until 2:00 p.m. before my own plane which is normally late. Still a chance to sit in the airport and do some work before catching the plane. However next week I have to be on the 06:40 plane so that I can be in work for 10:00 Monday morning which means I will have just 56 hours at home before setting off back to work. But until then I have two days of the weekend to enjoy.
