Another day of my blog starting just after my last finished,
it was Wednesday night and as soon as the light was off the damn buzzing was
back but this time I ignored it.
Fast forward to this morning and my feet look like they been
attacked by someone with the red pen marker.
They have red dots all over them, seriously it seems i have been
bitten. I have counted eleven so far and
they are flipping painful. So it has
been a trip to the local Farmica and I have managed to get some bite stuff that
claims to numb the pain. I put rather a
lot on and lost the feeling in both legs for a while and come to think of it my
fingers.
As for work today, well we managed to do all the meetings we
had to do on site so it has been a day of working in the hotel and as I had a
few phone conferences it was good to get them all out of the way.
Other than the bites it has been an uneventful day with the
weather blisteringly hot, just had a couple of walks down the road today, once
to the Tesco to get some more water and then to get the bite stuff. It took some finding especially as no one in
the shop spoke English, but with some inventive miming I managed to find some
gel po bodnuti hymzem but the clue is that it has a picture of an insect
looking evil.
I had a restful night listening to the Archers for a couple
of hours and now it is time for bed. The
only thing that stands out this week is that I have missed a cup of tea, the
hotel is very impressive but it is one of the very few that doesn’t have tea
making facilities in the room. A bit
strange since I thought all of them had them and when the hotel has three stars
or four stars, can’t remember exactly.
The plan for tomorrow is to travel back to Prague in the
morning for a late afternoon flight home via Frankfurt. It does mean a late night home but at least I
get Friday at base camp and although I will be working it does feel like an
extra weekend day.
So time to apply another smearing of gel and time for bed.
Night All.
