Copenhagen Day 6

It was early Monday morning and back on the road again, but this time a change of airport.  Early as I was sat outside ready to park the car by 03:30  Change of airport as this time I was flying from Mannchester for a flight to Copenhagen but via Frankfurt, this is a first as I haven’t been to Frankfurt before.  Not going to see much apart from the airport but if I was an airport collector it would be one I could tick off, but I’m not so I haven’t.
The usual panic hit me as I approached the car park as I always wonder if I’ve got the right one as the as each parking company seem to have several different ZONES and I love my ZONES or rather hate them now.  I think I have done it right buy anyhow the car is abandoned and I now sit in the cafe area of Manchester Airport having a coffee, the same area and almost the same seat as we sat in when we went to Toronto a year or so ago.  Almost the same seat as the exact same seat is filled by, what can only be described as the original tattooed lady.  I am not going to post this blog until I get to Copenhagen just in case by some miracle she read what I put and came over and biffed me one.  She is that scary.  By the way or as the average 17 year old puts BTW biffed is a euphemism and means in this case punched in the face and not anything else that people may be thinking.
So with erm let me look 45 minutes until boarding a time to check my mail and prepare for the day ahead.  BTW the tattooed lady is now adding mascara to her eyes, I would have thought she had enough paint applied to her body to last a lifetime.  She seems to have a wing of a bird the full length of each arm so god knows what she has on her back, although thinking about it a bird I suppose, and I am assuming her back as the other way round is even more scary to think about.
Now back to my coffee, do you know the price for a single coffee, just black coffee with milk added, well it is £2.79 for a polystyrene cup and the best part, you buy the cup and you have to help yourself from a machine and for that price you also get sarcasm thrown in. At the side of the machine was a silver flask so I asked the guy who was topping up the sugar etc if that was milk and he said, unless it’s a mirage.  So I looked him firmly in the eye and said, it could have been hot water for customers who prefer their beverage a little weaker.  Not the best put down but the best at 5.30 in the morning.
The tattooed lady is now picking at her tattoo, I hope she’s not on my plane, all you need is a girl in your line of sight picking her scabs.  I am going to have to stop looking as she really does look scary.  Apart from the cirque de freak possibility the place is quite busy, lots of couples tooking into full breakfasts which for the benefit of giving full information runs out at £8.99 for an egg, couple of pieces of bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, mushroom and two toasts and for an extra quid you can have two more slices of toast. I bit dear in my books and I still have my port sandwich Gillian did for me which I am hoping to keep for my tea tonight.
I thought the tattooed lady had someone with her as she has a colossal amount of clothing and items thrown across the table but it seems she’s a billy no mates, she keeps staring at her phone, I think in the hope someone may contact her but not as yet.  She now has her head in her hands, I assume all the weight of the face makeup and hair lacquer is making it too heavy to hold upright on its own.
Ok looking around and another very worrying site, a little girl about 12 in a  JLS t-shirt, not so bad you think but with her is her, I assume, dad looking about 40ish and also in a JLS t-shirt and funnily exactly the same style.  If the young girl hadn’t been there I would have assumed he was on a stag night and they were wearing it for a laugh.
I then moved to the gate and got a surprise as it was announced that Lufthansa were on strike and my flight was delayed, this meant that the next time the plane could depart was 09:30 some three hours late.  However we could not go for a walk around the airport but had to board in the plane in case we got an earlier slot.  However we still sat there till 9.30 and then we set off.  So when I arrived in Frankfurt I missed my connection and after two hours of waiting I got to go on the reserve list for the flight tonight to Copenhagen, so I am not yet sure if I will actually get there tonight.
Now I am stuck in Frankfurt and thought I will get some euro’s and whilst the exchange rate for a pound is normally about 80p they quoted me £1.38 a euro at the local bank in the airport, so needless to say I have no money either.  I cannot believe they can be allowed to charge so much to exchange money.
But for now I am sat in Frankfurt airport not knowing if I am going anyway.
