Monday 20 feb 2012 - Copenhagen

My travel  started this morning, very early this morning to be precise, early enough for me to be entering the long stay car park at Leeds Bradford Airport before 04:00, and that was my first problem of the day, even though I had pre-paid the parking the silly barrier did not recognise my number plate, the box didn’t recognise my credit card and most annoying of all, it didn’t recognise that fact I was stood there in a freezing wind thinking I was going to die of exposure then  a ticket popped out of the box, the barrier went up and I had to frantically rush to get back into the care before the barrier closed on me.  Once I had negotiated the first right of passage into Leeds Airport it was plain sailing until the cafe sorry restaurant, we don’t seem to have cafe’s anymore just restaurants or deli’s.  Two pounds twenty five for a coffee.  I needed the coffee to calm me down after seeing the price.  At that price I was going to make it last and it lasted all the way until the plane was called.  I also didn’t put the cup on the self service tray as I wanted every ounce of service I could get for my two pounds and twenty five pence.
As I hadn’t slept since waking up on Sunday morning I managed to close my eyes as I sat down on the plane, I remember the take off as I was thrust back into my seat but the next think I remember was the landing and waking up to find a sandwich pushed into my pocket or rather the pocket of the seat in front, that has been put on one side and will form the basis of me tea tonight along with the beef sandwich Gilly did for me late last night.
It is almost 15:00 CET and with about two or three hours more work due I am hoping the plan tonight is to get to the hotel and as it is in the city centre I am hoping to get a walk around the Tivili or whatever it is called gardens, suppose to be nice.  Hope to take some pics, but we shall see.
