Thursday has been a normal day, travel to work was OK and a day at work with the new people who seem decent guys. Taking a bit of time, as normal, to get fully up to speed on the project and of course looking forward to going home as it has been a tiring week. The news of the day was that I will be coming back to Dunkirk next week and the week after so at least that is sorted. I will find out next week where I will be going for the week of the 25th March.
My moan of the day though has to be the toilet, why the hell are they so big. I am not a small guy, about 5 foot 8 inches and yet when I sit on the loo either in my hotel room or at work my feet are struggling to touch the floor and if I lean back then it is like been a 4 year old again as my feet just dangle in mid air. I am trying to find the French for “eh up I ave fallin in pot” as I am convinced that could happen and I could be stuck their hours before anyone would notice.
Tonight I took the chance to have a walk out as one of the UK guys who works here by the name of Dee short for Dugrash. The centre is very pretty and has been worked well to incorporate a well looked after marina with small yachts and one very large 1800’s British Warship which is currently been restored and I would imagine getting readied to be used against us if the stereo typical French men are to be believed.
Then it was back to the hotel to do a tad more work before turning in for the night and reflecting on a good day.
Tomorrow is home time and I hope to be setting off for home at around 11:00 a.m. which should see me land in Manchester around 17:00 and home for 18:45ish. Only to start it all again next week, or at least the Dunkirk part.
