Day 23 - Dunkirk to Home - In Brugge

Today has been a nice day, with no meetings planned we all set off for the airport early, I suppose we all had to set off to the airport as we have just the one car.  The plan was to stop on the way and we choose to stop off at Brugge.  I have been before and it is a really lovely place, very medieval with big churches and gatehouses as almost all of the entrances to the town.  As the town is surrounded by a canal it looks very nice.
We took the chance to park near the main square and then walk around the hundreds of chocolate shops.  It seems to go, chocolate shop followed by beer shop, followed by another shop and back to a chocolate shop and beer shop.  Literally there are hundreds  as you walk around and what is surprising is, the town didn’t look that busy but the shops always seem to have someone in.
The weather is still very cold but it was a nice walk around for an hour or so before we needed to be off for the airport.  Apparently we are on summer schedules now so the plane time has been put back fifteen minutes so was even later home.
The plane journey home was as normal and as normal I managed to sleep from the plane leaving the stand right up to the moment the plane shook violently because the wheels had come down ready for landing.  Then I was home by 7.30 p.m. and as I don’t have to go back until Tuesday morning I now have 84 hours before my plane will be setting off for next week.
