Day 102 - Ostrava - Money Troubles

Quite a long day today with another full day of meetings.  The only real plus was that it was the last day of work and once I hit the hotel after work I could relax and finish the last few tasks of the day.  I did this and at 18:00 I departed the hotel for a walk.  I headed in the direction of the main shopping centre and had a look around for a little while.  My excuse was that I needed some new trainers and thought I may see something different that we get at home.  To be honest I was wrong and it seemed that almost everything on the trainer front was pretty standard.  So in the end I didn’t bother, also I have still got the money issues.  Due to the extra taxi trips I have certainly gone through more than before and by a long way.  To check I had enough I made piles of what I would need and by the end of today I had, 200 crowns for the taxi to Ostrava Station, the train I could pay for by credit card, 120 crowns for the bus from Prague station to the airport, which left me just 45 crowns left for incidentals or nine toilet trips as each one of those costs 5 crowns.  Talk about been on a budget.  My next book should be, spend a week in a foreign land for less than £100.00 including travel and food and then cheat by using your credit card.  Ok scrap that book.
The walk was nice and I found a couple of parks that were pleasant to walk through.  Nothing spectacular but lined with trees and the usual assortment of people sat enjoying the evening sunshine, chatting to their friends.
The shops are all shut by 17:00 so walking through the main town is ok for window browsing but anything more is impossible, it also means that you soon seem to be back to the hotel and in the room.  Not too bad in this hotel as the rooms are very big and it is like having an apartment and not just a room in a hotel.  That does help as with the smaller rooms you do get a bit stir crazy.
With only a limited amount of work to do, I put the television on, which is quite rate now a days for me.  There was some football on so I had that playing whilst doing other things.  I decided to have a bath also as it was the last chance to use a bath of that size I am sure.  Then it was time to pack as tomorrow is going to be an early start and I wanted to make sure I hadn’t left anything as I seem to be getting into the habit of losing things by leaving them in hotel rooms just recently.  With all that done it is now time for bed and a chance to get a good seven hours before my trek home begins.

Night all
