Day 95 - Home to Luxembourg - Back to work

With our long weekend over, 01:30 meant time to get out of bed and get on the road to Birmingham Airport.  I am often criticised for setting off a little earlier than most people who are going somewhere.  There is normal time, cautious people time and Mal time.  Well today I was glad that I set off that bit earlier as travelling along the M42 was shocked to start reading signs that said the M42 was closed and had to go on a diversion.  The diversion took me goodness knows where and I lost over thirty minutes travelling on one road after another and then been dumped back on the M42 only one junction further on.
I got to the airport in time and after checking in and running the gauntlet of the security people went for a coffee.  This was interesting as I decided I would take a large cup based on the fact I had only had two hours sleep and needed some caffeine to get me just to the plane.  What was a shock was the size of the bucket they put my coffee in, it took me ages to get through it but passed the time before the gate was displayed and I found my seat on the plane and settled down to an hours sleep.  I awoke when the plane landed.  But that was just the start of the problems, there was a huge queue to get through security and did that in about thirty minutes.  Then another twenty minutes to wait for the baggage and another thirty minutes to queue to get a rental car.  But I was rewarded with a brand new C4.  New as it only had 8kmh on the clock when the fools trusted me with it.  Having travelled to Luxembourg then it has considerable more on now.
After work, which was too complicated to mention, we had a quick gander around the local supermarket for some supplies.

That done it was check in time at the hotel and then nothing else as eversince I got back to the hotel at 19:00 it has been all work, work, work.
