Day 96 - Luxembourg - Walking was a good idea

Today was in real danger of being one of those days dedicated to work and nothing much else.  In danger as I left the client office with a couple of UK colleagues and one of them said, he had looked at a guide book and found a walk we could do and he was going to do it.  I initially said, yes I would like to go but I have loads of work to do as normal.  But after a few minutes of persuasion I was convinced that to sit in my room for a second night was not healthy despite having stuff to do.  So we agreed after a little time in our rooms to meet in reception.
We walked over to the old town and with my UK colleague navigating and me taking the role of being led without question we found some nice areas of the city that I had not seen before.  Eventually after passing some nice sights that I photographed and added to the blog below, found a couple of parks to walk around of which one had a quite impressive fountain and in the water some of the biggest fish I have seen that wasn’t in the sea.  The second park was just grass and trees but still pretty.  Then we walked through a shopping area before finding ourselves in the centre of the city and the band stand that we have seen many times before.  This time there was a duo due to start at 8.00 p.m. and with that been less than ten minutes from the time we arrived we decided to sit down and wait.
The duo which I took a photo of were very good, two guys who played the same piano.  Good enough that we stayed for over half an hour.  On the way back we ran into the rest of a team who were sat in a restaurant and had just ordered their food.  As you can see we are a tightly knit team who do everything together.  We wished them goodnight and made our way back to the hotel.  Those meeting minutes won’t write themselves.
One final thought, tomorrow is a public holiday across most of Europe so it will be a work in the hotel day and we have discussed actually getting out to a place called Little Switzerland or something like that, so quite looking forward to that.
After a few late nights and early mornings it was time to have a decent night sleep.
Night All

A water fountain found in the first park, this also had some very big fish visible through the surface of the water

A view from the high street toward the other bridge, i was going to say which direction but I dont know

The duo from tonight, not a good photo, the guy was just announcing the next tune they played.
