Day 112 - Paris to Home - Noisy Neighbours

I like Friday's, don't get me wrong I like my job and enjoy the chance to travel but normally by the time Friday comes I am ready to start heading home.  Ironically unless it is a out of this world holiday, like my road trip across America last year (and the blog still exists for that on here somewhere), I am normally ready to go home after about a week.  It is also true that after about two days at home I am itching to get back out there.  Perhaps I have decided I need to be a part time hobo, one of these guys that travels around with no worries or responsibilities.
But seriously today started with an early rise, I never seem to pack the night before and therefore I have to get out of bed my normal hour and a half to two hours before I am due to exit the room.  Time to have a cup of tea or two, shower, breakfast if I have any, view a few overnight emails, address any emails I have thought of during the night and then scoot out of the door.  So I packed and headed out the door at about 6:30 a.m. and waited for my colleague in the reception. He duly arrived and as we were about to leave our Belgium colleague appeared and it was soon decided we would give her a lift to the station for her to catch her train home.
The airport beckoned and with only the slight inconvenience of dropping the car off at the car rental which was bizarre, a car rental return with no staff in attendance, so we locked the thing up and dropped the key in at the car rental check desk and told them where they could find it.
I haven't given any opinion of the car this week but the Ford Kuga (correctly spelt this time) is pretty similar to a QoshQai (or however you spell it) and to be honest drives the same and you would know no difference if you had your eyes shut.  However having your eyes shut means you would not drive it that far or successfully.
The plane was a little delayed before we could board but we finally did and the usual happened, we were all seated and nothing.  The plane didn't move for goodness knows how long, I dont know as I was asleep within minutes.  The plane must have set off as I was awoken whilst we were in the air by the loudest snoring you could here and I mean it was loud.  The lady next to me (in the aisle seat) was giving it the full decibels and there was no chance for me or anyone in the surrounding ten rows to sleep so I listened to some music.
As we landed the lady woke up and as she stood to get he bags she asked if she could pass me mine, I said I was ok and I could just grab my small bag as I left and then she said, sorry if I snored when I was asleep, I think I do that sometimes and just said, oh did you, I didn't notice.  I try to be polite.
Before I leave the flight and of course Air France.  When we were boarding the plane on Monday our baggage was not included and therefore had to be £26 but coming back our baggage was included and we paid nothing, I wish the company would explain how that works.  Anyway it doesn't matter as like Manchester Terminal 2, Amsterdam Airport, I will try to avoid Air France like the plague.
The journey home was quite easy and I finally got through the door at just a few minutes after 4.00 p.m. and the weekend begun, or it would have if I hadn't had another two hours work to do.  The joys of travel.

All for now
Night All
