Day 132 - Warsaw - Oops

I have to start day 132 with a big Oops.  Today was the day for the client presentation in Krakow and to get to the client site we needed to check out of the hotel and travel the five or so miles.  The problem came just as I left the hotel and waited at the traffic lights to turn left.  It was clear and so I turned left, the problem was there were two lines of traffic at the far left of the four lanes and two lanes free which I assumed were for cars going the way I wanted to go.  I started to drive toward those two lanes when I noticed the road markings indicating that the two lanes were for traffic travelling in the same direction as the other two lanes.  Basically I was about to head the wrong way down a dual carriageway.  Luckily I stopped and managed to reverse and get myself on the right side of the carriageway. All of this time my Nottingham colleague sat in the passenger seat and didn't say a word, he looked pale but didn't say a word.  Remarkable courage displayed by my colleague I think.  That wasn't to last, as soon as we were moving along on the right side of the road the comments started.  Some people moan at anything, even almost getting killed.
Following the meeting we had the small task of driving from Krakow to Warsaw, a journey that would take over four hours and meant that we arrived at our hotel after 7.00 p.m.  Immediately it was like wacky races with cars and lorries overtaking in unbelievable places.  It all adds to keeping you concentrating for the full journey.  Never knowing where the next vehicle is coming from.
Once at the hotel it was a case of eat and then check out my emails, we did think about going out to see what Warsaw was like but as it was late and the hotel seems to be on the outskirts of the city then we opted to stay at the hotel.  I was not too bothered as we have to be up pretty early for the flight back tomorrow and i did have some stuff to do before I got to bed including of course updating the blog, although that will be a little short as it is now almost midnight.
Therefore it is time for bed
Night All.
