So back to today and most of the day has been spent working in the hotel with just a brief pause for a dash to the office next door to the hotel for a meeting. I wasn't trying to be observant but did notice that it has turned decidedly nippy out there. It was really cold and the people are suddenly walking around in long overcoats hats and gloves, apart from the fool here who only brought my suite and a very light summer jacket and no gloves. Note to self, get gloves and hat for next week.
Another thing I noticed as I ventured once again to the supermarket was that the chrimbo decorations are out and as usual i did not take my camera so all i have are some rubbish ones I took with the camera on my phone, which is not as posh as everyone else's phones are. Even my colleagues are starting to get Samsung phones with work while I struggle on with my old blackberry. But going back to the decorations they did look nice with a huge Christmas Tree in the centre of the shopping mall and a polar bear underneath it, so I took the photo of the polar bear, more interesting than a white fir tree. I wonder why some of the cutest animals are so dangerous. Tigers, Polar Bears, Normal Bears (not implying there is anything not normal about Polar Bears) and Rabbits, cause you have to swerve your car to avoid them and it is dangerous to do that. And I suppose St Bernard dogs as mine seems intent of killing me with his shows of affection every time I get home.
It was then back to the hotel and the decision to make, do I go for a walk into town by myself or stay in the hotel and be boring. I opted for boring as I have no one here with me and walking out in the cold with my light jacket on my own just doesn't appeal. So it has been a night of miserable loneliness doing all those work tasks that never normally seem to get done, like updating the plan, updating my budget sheet and wondering where all the money is going and generally holding my head in my hands. Did I ever say how much fun travelling is, for work.
Back to reality and almost time for bed, going to have an early night to catch up on the sleep I seem to have been missing over the past weeks. So on that note
Night All
Here we have the cute polar bear beneath the huge tree and about to electrocute itself on the power box at the side of it.
And a view down the mall supposedly showing the decorations but that doesn't seem to have worked. Darn camera, or darn photographer, not sure which.
