Day 13 - Luton - On my travels again

It is eight days after my return home and it is time for another jaunt.  The last week has been spent working from home and whilst it is definitely beneficial to be at home, the problem is that I have to still work the US hours and means that work normally goes on until midnight or even beyond.  Therefore going back to the States means that I miss the family for two weeks but I work a normal 8 to 10 hour day.  So I am in a sort of paradox where to have it easier I must have it harder.  I'm impressed by my deepness.
So today then, I am travelling back to New Mexico and have once again set off the night before my flight to get close to the airport and not have so far to travel for the morning.  The best and cheapest hotel I could find was an Encore at Luton Airport, about forty five minutes from Heathrow.  The room is either quite small or I've started to get used to the bigger rooms I seem to have been placed in recently.  But as this is only for one night it is not going to bother me that much.
Tonight after I arrived I had my tea which consisted of a sandwich my wife had made for me to have.  Along with a cup of tea and a watch of Sherlock on Netflix it made a nice relaxing evening.
For the drive down here, the traffic was surprisingly busy for a late Bank Holiday Monday afternoon, with what seemed no more than sheer volume of traffic creating jams every so often.
A short update before the main journey tomorrow so for now a night all and I will update tomorrow night when I finally arrive after what I expect will be 23 hours of travel.
