Today was my first day on site at work and because of that it was pretty hectic with plenty to catch up on. So it was a full day until 5.00 when feeling tired I decided it was time to leave work.
I was tired even though I had gone to bed around 10 p.m. but was awake just after 3.00 a.m. and could not get back to sleep. I eventually got up a little after four and decided to start looking through some early emails from the UK. Time soon passed and after an early meeting I was on my way to site.
I car shared with my US colleague and after dropping him off back at the hotel I decided not to just go back to the room so I set off to see what I could see around town. It was nice to just drive and looking at the different style of houses in what seemed like the same neighbourhood was surprising. Eventually I found my way to some shops and a huge Kmart. I decided to have a look round and got some jeans which are what i did want to get for myself. After a look around I gradually made it back to the hotel via a lot of businesses, another surprise is literally the amount of firms with advertisements for jobs.
Once back at the hotel it was time to rest and with the time approaching 10:00 p.m. I am going to bed with the knowledge that tomorrow is Friday and the end of the week. I know that it will be another busy day but at least week one over and done with.
