Day 2 - London - Executive bed

Day two begins with a rise from my exec bed after an exec sleep and it was a good one, my bad cold (not sure if I had mentioned this) was still raging and it took about 5 minutes before I felt rubbish.  A cup of tea and a hot bath did not good whatsoever so I finally got dressed and headed for some breakfast before going off to work.
Two Weetabix, coffee consumed and a stack of fruit tucked away in my bag for later I set off on my 15 minute walk to the office.  As I was walking down the first street I noticed a woman walking toward me.  I understand when people are talking on their phone or even texting but actually reading a kindle as she walked at high speed down the street, to me, seems bizarre.  I cannot imagine how she will get from point a to  point b without some mishap.  I wonder if this happens to most of us but as I was stood at the crossing at Kings Cross a fire engine when through the lights and turned down to where my work is and thought, I hope that is going to my place, it would certainly brighten up the day.
Then the little green man appeared and quickly followed by the wall of death as a full army of commuters crossed the road and I was buffeted and bashed as I got to the other side.  Why or why do 90% of London work in the opposite direction to me.
Occasionally for what others call a cigarette break and because I dont smoke I decide to go for a walk a couple of times a day, just a lap around St Pancras station and then back through Kings Cross Station.  It only takes about 15 minutes but it is a nice leg stretch.  Today I only had time for the one lap but it was still nice to get out of the office and take a look at people as they walk around doing their thing.
Tonight it was a night out with my Chorley and Nottingham colleagues who were down for the night but as I still had some work to do into the evening we made it an early night.  We opted for a Chinese restaurant near the hotel so as not to have too much time wasted after the meal.  That was the intention anyway, but as you do when people start talking, we were there til nearly 10.00 p.m.  Once back in my room there was a little time to check the football results and then time to do a bit of work before bed time.
With tomorrow been my final night for the week and I have a goal of trying to buy a black scarf as the weather is getting blooming cold, even down here, I may go into Oxford Street and see if I can get one at a good price.
So that is all for tonight
So goodnight all
