Day 3 - London - Abandoned.

At the moment I am, whenever I have time, I am binge watching Spooks.  Hadnt see it before so I am watching it for the first time.  The problem of this is now apparent to me, I have started walking through London in my long black coat, looking like Harry Pearce and watching people as they wander around me.  Today I was walking past St Pancras and noticed a guy just stood drinking coffee watching people go by – very suspicious.  A guy, unshaven carrying a huge carry bag, looking like he has arrived after a long journey – very suspicious.  A woman walking with a silver briefcase – very suspicious.  Then realised that the only one looking suspicious was me with my eyes darting back and forward like a maniac watching all these people.  Note to self; I will have to calm down on the Spooks program a little.
This morning’s breakfast gave me the chance to arm myself with more fruit for the day and once I had squirreled it away in my bag I was out of there and on the way to work.
As lunchtime approached my Chorley colleague suggested that we go for a walk as there is a nice developing area just north of Kings Cross and so we decided to go do it.
The first stop was the viewing area at the Kings Cross open Swimming Pool and not surprisingly at a temp of 6 degrees C there was no one in the water, but I got a photo of it

Then we walked by the old gas cylinder which is now an arty looking garden and finally along the canal where I took a few more photos.

It was a nice way to spend 30 minutes or so walking around and cleared my head ready for the afternoon.  Did nothing to alleviate my cold (did I say I have a raging cold).
I also managed to get one lap in of the stations, you have to see the blog earlier in the week to understand that, but whilst I was walking back through Kings Cross I saw a site you don’t see often, for the sarcastic amongst you, it was not a train leaving on time.  Not seen that yet myself (the oldest are the best).  What I did see was a guy walking through the station with the customary orange workers jacked but carrying a hawk, it was huge and fantastic.  I wanted a photo but he was off, I guess it was there to scare the pigeons off and I guess it had worked as there were none waiting for the trains.  It looked a lovely sight with its hoodie on.
I got away from work at 6.00 p.m. and wanted to get straight out , so I got changed and headed to the Tube, unfortunately when I got to Russel Square there was a lot of commotion outside and it seems the tube was not running so I decided to abandon my trip into London and have a short walk followed by a trip to the supermarket for some tea.
After that I retired to my room to work and listen to the football, so a relaxing night which was topped off by an early one.

So it is a goodnight from me.
