Day 42 - A missed church

Day 42 and home day.  Due to a little lull in proceedings at work my Selby colleague and I managed to grab a quick once around the stations and to my surprise we happened to come across a bit of filming at St Pancras.  We stood and watched for a few minutes and then asked what was going on and apparently they were filming an advert for Rimmell make up products, it was interesting to see so many crew all stood around whilst just one girl walked over and over again toward the station entrance.  Still it was interesting and here is a link to the video.

Standing there for 10 minutes did mean that I lost time for my coffee but can’t complain as it does mean I saw something different and something that I haven’t seen before, filming a Rimmel advert that is.
At lunch we thought another quick trip around the stations, just to keep up the steps, saw us go into Costa for the earlier missed quick coffee and a chance to people watch as the collective of St Pancras walked by the café.  Unfortunately nothing to report on this walk.
Why is it that time seems to slow down immeasurable once it passes 3.00 p.m. and I am then waiting till nearly 7.00 p.m. for the train, strange but true.  Even the emails seem to come in on slow motion.
7.00 p.m. came and the train was pulling out of Kings Cross and whisking me majestically homeward bound with my fellow passengers all having decided to get food from one outlet or other meant that I was surrounded by so many smells that I spent the journey home starving.
I got to Doncaster and my customary 30 minute wait on the platform for the Goole train was blooming cold.  After a few days of warmth in London I was amazed how cold it was and started delving into my case for some extra layers of clothing to help me survive the seemingly arctic blast.
One thing I will mention is that as we pull out of Doncaster station in a northerly direction we pass the church that is lit up and I have to admit it is beautiful as it stands there all illuminated.  I always think I must get a picture but by the time I get my camera out it is gone, I have to remember next week.
But for now it is home and one more work from home day before the weekend.

Hurray
