Day 53 - Woodland Cafe and nose blowing

Thursday and it was rise and shine after a good sleep and pack and go, so much so that I was in work just a moment or two after 8.00 a.m. and with my new laptop I was rattling through the work.
Lunchtime gave my Selby colleague and I a chance to get out of the office and instead of the stations we headed north to a community woodland area that is really nice and peaceful.  I have had a walk there before but he hadn't and as it was a very warm lunch time we decided to have a cuppa at the little cafe that they have on the site.  The place is lovely and very friendly so if you find yourself sort of North East of Pancras station and see the woodland area, visit it, it is so peaceful and the cafe has a good variety of cakes and light lunches, however we just opted from the cuppa.  We sat and drank before taking the trail around the site.  With small information boards it does make it interesting, even people who have volunteered their time have put their own story as to why they helped and that is an interesting read also.
It was soon to head back to the office and that we did.
Later in the afternoon as my Selby colleague had departed for home I had another walk around the stations but there was nothing to report.  The place seemed very busy but people just hustling and bustling on their travels.  I did go past the departure boards at Kings Cross to check if everything was on time as it would be a good indicator if my train later would be on time and so far things looked good.
Time finally released me from work and I headed for my train and it was on time, good old Hull Trains.  I was on my way home when a very bizarre thing happened, a lady blew her nose, not so bizarre you may think, but this was very strange.  She was across the carriage on the opposite table when she started to blew into a tissue, I am not exaggerating when I say she must have blown about 30 times non stop.  I know we often say, oh I told you a million times but this was about thirty.  After what seemed like ages I started counting in my head, which I am not sure is the more bizarre but I got to seventeen and she had been doing it ages before I started. One blow after another, I started to think her head was about to cave in under the pressure of losing so much fluid.  I wasn't the only one to notice people around me started glancing over, the guy opposite who was eating a sandwich I really thought was about to vomit.  I have to say it was probably the strangest thing I have seen on a train in a long time.  When she finally finished I wondered if anyone would applaud.
After all that, the rest of the journey was quite uneventful and arrived at home some time later and ready for my day off on Friday and the weekend.
