So my new journey is into the world of veganism. There are a couple of reasons for doing this and I will try and cover them over my journey but for now the reasons are:-
Health - I AM UNHEALTHY and suffering a bit from what I have been eating and learnt that being a vegan means that I could eat healthier and at least help my body a bit.
The second reason is I was asked to watch a program called What the health on Netflix and my goodness that will help anyone take the plunge. I do not recommend it to anyone
So back to health and one thing I have been suffering from is gout, yes I got the kings disease and wow it has been painful, but most days it is just uncomfortable. I didn't want to take the pills so struggled through. One week after eating vegan the pain has stopped and quite honestly it may be a coincidence but I am not going to risk it and already I've dropped 5 pounds in just over a week so that can't be bad. If I continue to lose weight and lose the pain then this must be doing me some good
There has been struggles, and that comes when I need to find something to eat. Good grief it has been hard for me to find something not just that I like but that I can stomach. I have been trying new stuff and have on one occasion had to despatch the contents of my mouth urgently into the bin. But at least some old favourites are there, baked beans I love you.
So my journey will continue and tonight I have a vegan burger, I know it's Vegan as it says on the wrapper I got from Tesco and baked potatoe and maybe some beans if my daughter hasn't scoffed the lot.
