Day 58 - The smallest ever Hotel Room

I have to start today with the later part of the day first.  I am sat in my room and this has to be the smallest room I have ever stayed in, inside a hotel.  I am at the Raddison Blu, Grafton on Tottenham Court Road and on the 5th floor.  The room is literally 3 large steps by 3 large steps and when you include a three quarter bed and desk, this leaves an open floor space of 1.5 by 1.5 steps.  I am so amazed that I put my left hand on the door and could touch the bed which is nestled up to the wall.  I will post a video below just to show how small this room really is.

If you have seen a smaller hotel room I would love to know where it is.

Back to today and work was dull but as you can tell I am back in London, after a couple of week break when the company decided they did not need me down here, they have now changed their mind and here I am.
With the holiday season starting to take effect there are varying numbers of colleagues down here and tonight there is only my Nottingham and Wigan colleague here.  So we decided that we would hit the bikes tonight unfortunately Nottingham was not up for it and so it left just Wigan and myself to take advantage of the beautiful evening weather and Boris' idea of a bike on almost every street corner.
My first move was to walk up to Wigan's hotel and from their we hopped on the nearest bike.  It was about a 20 minute ride to Primrose Hill and an even longer walk up the hill.  But the views were worth it as it is a lovely look across London and below is a panorama video of what we could see.  I was surprised how many people were up there, but the weather was beautiful so I suppose it is the best time to be out.

We walked down and grabbed another bike and rode into central London.  Riding through Central London was not as daunting as I thought as there was a lot of cycle lanes which keep you away from the main traffic.
Eventually we reached Fleet Street and took the chance to eat at the Cheddar Cheese Pub which is suppose to be the oldest pub in London having been rebuilt after the Great Fire.
It was whilst at the pub that we got sat on the same table as a guy and his grandson.  We got talking and they were both from Norway with the sun here to take an exam in Japanese language.  It was an interesting time talking to them.
But it was soon time to leave and we had the small matter of an hour walk back to Euston Road and our respective hotels.  I arrived back to my hotel at 11:45 p.m. and checking my step counter found that I had walked a total of over 36,000 steps which equates to almost 17 miles which does understand why Wednesday morning my feet do feel a little tender.  But more about that tomorrow.
