Day 34 - Genk - Tired Day

Today would have been a very short blog as not a great deal has happened except for the fact that this morning I saw another first. 

Last night as always I ate in my room but in the morning as breakfast is available for the price of my room I am having breakfast downstairs in the dining room.  Whilst I was sat having my corn flakes, why is it you only seem to find corn flakes in continental hotels.  In UK ones you find cocoa pops and weetabix but here in Europe you seem to find that all of them have the plain old Cornflakes.  Anyway I digress, so I was sat having boring corn flakes when I saw a fish tank and thought that’s nice, you can watch fish whilst having your meal, but as I left and went over to look at the fish I was shocked, there were lobster with their claws bound with elastic bands and the lady of the hotel came over and explained I could pick one for my tea.  I couldn’t possible eat an animal that was just before watching me walk into the restaurant, so tonight I had my tea in my room and thank goodness for my tin of tuna and fish that can’t watch me preparing to eat it.  Although in this day and age I just wonder how much tuna is actually in there.

As for the rest of the day, well it came and went and after having no sleep on Sunday night I always seem to be fine on Monday but come Tuesday night I am shattered and that is how I feel now, so although it is only 8.30 p.m. I am going to get an early night.
