The days seem to pass so quickly and it seems amazing that it is already Day 37 of my travel diary so that is almost eight weeks of being abroad. Haivng said that sometimes Friday’s seem to come around less frequent but here we are and that means another day I can go home.
The plan today was to do my 9.30 meeting and then head back to the airport but call at the reptile zoo on the way past, but best laid plans of mice and men and all that meant that my audio conference did happen at 9.30 and did finish by 10:00 but as usual I had to do some urgent actions before I could leave the hotel and get on the road. So it was almost 11:00 by the time I got motoring and then there were some road closures in the town that hosts the reptile zoo which meant it took ages to get there and by the time I was sat outside in the car it was almost 1:00 p.m. and I was supposed to be at the airport by 2:00 so I had a brief look at the sea front and then headed for the airport and it was a good time I didn’t hang around as the road was really busy and I was getting a little worried but I did make it on time.
So week 8 over and a chance to relax for a couple of days before starting all over again and back to Dunkirk for another week and what may be my last for some time as after that it is Romania, Lithuania and the Czech Republic and as it will be the first time in any of those places I am looking forward to some new experiences and culture shocks I am sure.
One big shock for me on my return to Manchester was that it had been snowing and my car was covered in it. I am now hoping for warmer weather when I return on Monday as it was freezing waiting for the bus to get me back to the car.
But for now it is Night All and have a nice weekend.
