Day 60 - Dunkirk - Pirate Music

Another busy day at work and another handshaking day as it was meeting time with the local client and his team.  There was one new guy and he took my hand and almost dragged it from my shoulder, I’m not sure what his problem was but he was over compensating for something.  I now have trouble with my little finger again, it is really hurting again, I still think its broken.
On the plus it does look like this will be my final week for sometime in Dunkirk, not that I don’t like the place but after been here for some time it will be nice to see somewhere different.
So on my last night, for a while anyway, when I got back to the hotel I decided that although I had some work to do, I would go out and take a look around the excitement that was going on and what a really good night it was.
First of all we (we being my French colleague and I) had a walk down the quay side and where about a dozen sail boats were moored up and there were some big ones aswell.  There was this Greek sail boat that they allowed people to walk around and so we took advantage and had a look around.  It was really interesting and had a few photo opportunities so you shall see some of the pics on the blog.
Then as we walked along the quay side looking at the various tents which had some shops and craft things and then there was this little band doing a bit of thing and they were good, so we watched them for a bit before moving off as my colleague wanted to get something to eat.
On the way back to the hotel we walked back via the quay side (never thought how many times I could get the words quay side into a blog), yes the quay side and found that another band was playing on a stage and there were really good, a sort of French pirate/heavy rock group doing songs about pirates and the sea.  We watched for about half an hour before my colleague wanted to go back to the hotel, shame really as I could have kept watching, but he was right as we needed to go over some things before we go our separate way early in the morning.
So tomorrow it is off to Brussels, my plan is to get up at six even though my flight is not till four in the afternoon but I think it will be best to get to the airport before my calls begin because at then I can relax and not worry about the traffic as it can get quite busy in the afternoon.
Then next week it is Leeds Bradford bound to go to Vilnius in Lithuania but not until Tuesday so I am going to take Monday off as a holiday, which I must admit I am looking forward to.
So that’s about all and as it is after eleven then it is goodnight all.
