Day 80 - Dusseldorf to Home - Like Clockwork

After what had seemed like a very hard week, I was really pleased with Thursday.  It was one of those days when things seemed to run like clockwork.  Firstly I rose at 8.00 a.m. which was a nice change, got ready to depart and then sat at the desk in my room as I did my morning meetings, the final one was suppose to be 10:30 til 11:30 but just after 10:00 the person called me and we were able to start early and as things were quite straight forward before 10:30 I was checking out of the hotel and making my way to the car.  The journey to the airport and fuel up was quick with the hire car return well signposted into Dusseldorf airport which in some places is not always the case.  I checked in and did another quick call before my on time flight and was in Manchester before 16:00.  This meant that I missed the bulk of the evening rush hour and just after 18:00 I was back home.
I suppose when everything goes it makes the blog much shorter and less eventful.  Therefore I must come to the conclusion that it is the things that go wrong that create the adventure.  I hope that is a new way for me to look at times when things don’t go as well.
The Thursday travel home means that Friday will be a working from home day and even though I have a few meetings and it will be a full day you can’t help feeling you are at home and the weekend has begun, even though there is still stuff to be done.
So for now it is the end of the week as far as travelling is concerned so
Night All.
