To make sure I was at my meeting in time I needed to get up
at 5.45 a.m. and check out of the hotel and hit the road. The traffic was not too bad until within
about 30 minutes of Utrecht when that last 30 minutes took me over an hour. But I was still there over an hour early and
that allowed me to get a coffee, sit down and have a pre meeting with one of my
Dutch colleagues.
After a brief meeting I decamped from the office and it was
time to go to the ferry and the journey home.
I know that it is only Thursday and I do have to work when I get home
tomorrow and have quite a full day of meetings but I can’t help feeling it is
the weekend already. After my journey’s
recently it would be nice to have a full weekend and starting as soon as work
has finished on Friday.
Back to now and tonight I am writing this blog from my cabin
on the P&O ferry sailing from Rotterdam and I know the cabins are only
there for lay your head for a few hours and the rest of the time is suppose to
be spent walking the ship and looking around and they have to cram as many
people aboard as possible so the cabins have to be small but 15 foot by 6 at
the largest parts is defiantly very small for two people as they are suppose to
be for. Not so bad for me as I am on my
own.
The good thing of going to work by ferry and particularly
this one is that tonight I get to relax and there is an entertainment show with
a band that does a few numbers and with a piano bar, shops, cinema and snack
shop there are plenty of things to look around.
It is a nice atmosphere to end the weeks travel.
That is all for now as I need to make use of my bunk bed and
sleep the way back to blighty.
