Day 6 - London to Home - Still too poorly

The sharpest amongst you may wonder where Day 6 went.  I did have one but the problem was that I felt so shocking by the time I got home I decided to bin the blog and go to bed.  The plan was to do it on the Friday but again I didn't feel well enough and just managed to get through the tasks at work that needed to be done.
So what happened I hear you cry, well it was the journey from London to home so most of the day was spent at work but this time for a treat I got to go to the client site and that meant a journey on the tube and to the centre of London and what better time than 8.30 a.m.  Needless to say I had to let three tube trains go by before I could even think of boarding they were so crammed full.  I suppose if I had been nasty I could have got myself on and then stood there sneezing and coughing which would have opened up some space.  But no I decided to wait for a train with plenty of space for me to suffer pretty much alone.
My colleague who was with me and I will add stood nowhere near me on the train decided before we go to the meeting we shall go buy and stunningly high priced coffee before going to the client site where it would be free.  There are some strange people about.
Work seemed to last forever on Thursday but it was eventually 6.15 p.m. and time to walk over to Kings Cross Station.  I made it to the train and the plan was to plug my earphones in and close my eyes and listen to some music.
As I took my seat a guy was next to me and out of politeness made a few comments and we chatted for a minute before two more guys joined the table seat on the other side and I was about to plug in my phones when they made a comment about what we had been saying and suddenly all hell broke loose.  Cups went flying, punches were exchanged, blood was hitting the windows like Ribena at a children’s party.  Not really but it did basically mean that suddenly all four of us were engaged in conversation which I then felt it would be rude to put my ear phones in and ended talking all the way to Doncaster.  When I hit the waiting room on Doncaster station, occupied by only me and three train spotters I was glad for the silence apart from the running commentary of each freight train as it rumbled through the station.  It was funny but even the little regional train I get back to Goole seemed busy and noisy.
But this is where the good part starts, i did pull off a coo when I hit tescos at Goole.  I called in to see if they had any reduced items and got two bunches of flowers for 10p each.  Mother’s day was sorted, with a bunch for the mother in law and one for the wife.  I also managed to snaffle some potted beef, cucumber and bread for 1p each, I spent a total of 25p, 5 pence of it for my tea when I got home.   Now that is a result.  Tea for 5p and a happy wife holding a bunch of flowers.

I hit the bed feeling drained but that my misson on this world was done for the day.
