I am doing the next two days in one post and that is quite simply because it was a couple of real work days and therefore nothing on the personal front.
Wednesday started with a trip to work on the tube and then a workshop which lasted from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. with just an hour for lunch which was used up trying to catch up on emails. So I didn't even get out of the office.
When the workshop was completed I spent the next three hours catching up and making sure I didn't leave too much until Thursday which is normally quite a busy day as it is home going day. I arrived back at the hotel at past 8.30 p.m. and decided to do a little videoing of my hotel room to show anyone who is interested around. The hotel was not too great, a little old with very old furniture, it was clean of course and the room was quite big but it just seemed the decor was a little tired, however the bathroom was very nice with a nice big bath
If you want to see a quick look around my room at the Camden Lock Holiday Inn, Camden Town, London, then click on the link below.
My Hotel in Camden
I spent the rest of the night in my room just listening to the football and relaxing which was good for me but not very interesting to write about.
The next morning was leave day so I packed my stuff into my new rut-sack courtesy of my Wigan colleague who kindly donated his that he didn't need anymore. I will point out that it is a cracking back with tons of compartments, put something in there and it takes around a month to locate it. I tried one side pocket and two of his children came out, it has that many compartments.
So I packed my stuff and decided as it was only 7.30 a.m. to walk to Kings Cross from Camden, it didn't look far on the map and the smaller I made the map the closer Kings Cross got. It was around 20 minutes on the tube and I was amazed to find that the walk only took around the same time, so I am totally confused as to where the tube goes.
It was also great to see Mornington Crescent Tube Station as I passed by, of course this is made famous by the panel show, I'm sorry I haven't a clue which is on Radio 4 occasionally and a great listen should you ever have the chance.
Finally I arrived at work and workie type stuff soon followed which meant not much to write about. At lunch I did manage to get a walk in with my Selby colleague and as the sun was shining we walked about ground around Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. We did get a stop for coffee at Costa but not much to report. It was then head down until 6.15 p.m. when I had to dash for the train. So you can see why I have condensed two days into one blog. One thing that did happen was on the grassed area between our office blocks, I think they were students, had decided to put on large paper mashier heads and move around in strange ways, too good not to video from the office window.
I have decided to put a collection of videos I have taken from this week onto You Tube so should you wish to have a look please use the link below
